STEPS presents research on plastics and packaging at Almedalen in June

STEPS programme director, professor Rajni Hatti-Kaul, and STEPS board member, Leif Nilsson, spoke about plastics and plastic packaging in relation to food systems at an event at Almedalen, 28th June: Mat, konsumtion och material: så uppnår vi hållbara och hälsosamma livsmedelssystem.

The event focused on food, materials, consumption and sustainability, and was organised by Mistra. Rajni Hatti-Kaul and Leif Nilsson highlighted STEPS’ research and spoke on the future of biobased plastics, plastics policies and design for recycling. The event was part of Mistra’s programme at Almedalen, and STEPS was participating together with researchers from Mistra Environmental Nanosafety, Mistra Food Futures, and Mistra Sustainable Consumption.
