CANCELLED: Plastics in a Swedish Circular Economy

Plastics in a Swedish Circular Economy – a STEPS seminar

The work to develop a Swedish national strategy for a circular economy has started. In 2020, a delegation will present a first draft to government. Producer responsibility for plastics, tax on amount of recycled material, and traceability, are some of the actions discussed. But how does a circular economy approach relate to sustainable transitions? What impact can a circular economy have on sectors and companies in Sweden? And will the strategy be able to address basic problems with plastics and other materials?

Welcome to a seminar with representatives from the research programmes Mistra STEPS – Sustainable Plastics and Transition Pathways and Mistra REES – Resource-Efficient and Effective Solutions  about the history, background, possibilities and challenges with a circular economy.
The event is part of Lund University’s Sustainability Week which runs from 20-25 April. Lund University Sustainablity Week is a yearly event where Lund University, Lund municipality, and other organisations highlight research, activities and issues related to sustainability.

Date, time and place:

Tuesday, April 21, 13.00 – 14.30
Place: Magle Stora kyrkogata 4, 223 50 Lund
